Here is a question I got about losing weight specifically around the mid-section.
My response is a little bit controversial but I’ve seen it work time and time again.

This is Vinny from NJ…I just want to know what do YOU recommend a man that is 53 and wants to get his ass in what I like to call Sly’s “Rambo Expendable” Shape BROSEPH!!! I invested in the Big Man Strong and I just got your HUGE training…
I want to lose some lbs around the waistage area and KICK ASS and maybe take names later…If I feel like it!!!
What would you recommend as far as the best type of training regime.

Now in terms of dropping the pounds around the waist… there are two things I have found which work really well. Both of em suck but if you are tryin to lean down few things are more effective.
Technique numero uno is the good ol carb restriction approach…
Though there are conflicting opinions, I’ve yet to find anything that helps people drop the belly fat faster than reducing their carb intake.
This may be due to the fact the majority of us are eating things that our bodies have a slight intolerance to and that is causing the fat to store around the mid-section.
I’ve had clients ditch the breads and grains for two weeks and marvel at how quickly their stomach started to flatten out.
If you can commit to that, I’m positive you’ll start getting mistaken for Sly anytime you leave the house
The second thing you can do; is more fat-loss specific training.
You know the day two Big Man Strong workout?
Do that multiple times a week
And if that isn’t sadistic enough for you…
You can also add finishers to the end of each of your workouts
What are these workout finishers?
They are basically a series of nasty movements sequenced
together to have you burn more fat towards the end of your
workout and for the few hours after you train
Well I’ve got news for you they also suck but…
Finishers rock for getting you leaner
