Big Lift Music
If you are like me you do your best work
The songs I listen to have become such an
integral part of my workout that I cannot
make it through a workout without cueing
In today’s blog post I am gonna reveal to you
the top 10 tracks I’ve been listening to of late
to get me grindin out in the gym.
I should give you a head up, none of these
songs are safe for work. If you have sensitive ears
and can’t deal with profanity… this list ain’t for you
1: Flava in your ear remix
This song was the jam growing up. It featured a ton of the best rappers of that era over a hot ass beat. The moment you hear the warrior’s homage bottles clink you know it’son. I’m sure I’ve crushed many a PR with this one playing in the
2: Who Shot ya
Another banger straight outta New York. In the 90′s you were either a Big supporter of down with Pac. As a young buck growin up in the east coast, I was team Big.
I will never forget the first time I heard this track play over the radio, I knew it was gonna be an anthem right away. This song was the track you played when you want to get straight ignorant in the gym.
3: Murderers – John Frusciante
I don’t give a shit what anyone says… this track is the shit. Whenever you need to get into the zone and approach a big lift put this track on and it will get you focused.
4: Enter Sandman – Metallica
This song maybe played out as hell in hardcore gyms all over the world but it’s done so for good reason. There’s no other song on the planet that will make you wanna hulk-out like enter Sandman. I’m not a huge metal fan but I’ve gotta give props where it’s due.
Well done Metallica
5: One -Metallica
Another entry by Metallica. This one sneaks up on you and smacks you in the mouth. If you are gonna put this on your playlist, make sure you crank it up LOUD.
6: Accidental Murderers – Nas feat Rick Ross
I’ve been a fan of Nas since he dropped illmatic in the early ninties, too bad the rest of his albums have been garbage. He sorta redeemed himself by performing this track with Rick Ross.
Say what you will about Rick Ross, the man knows how to pick and ride a beat like no other.
7: 20k Money Makin Brothers On The Corner – Clipse
These guys never rap about anything other than selling drugs, as a fitness guy I should not be showing these guys love… if they didn’t do it so damn well.
If you can listen to this beat without getting hyped… you should check your pulse.
8: Just Like You Imagined – Nine Inch Nails
You might remember this track from one of theee most bad ass movies of all time 300. Every time I hear tune I wanna get my Leonidas on, kick someone into a bottomless pit and yell ” THIS IS SPARRTTAAA”
9: Bar-barian – Sean Price
You may recognize this track as the lead in to my Youtube videos. Sean Price is easily one of the grimiest rappers I’ve ever heard, too bad he usually raps over garbage production. Regardless of his short comings in beat selection, he came through on this track.
This one is straight gutter
10: Welcome to New York City – Cam’ron, Juelz Santana, Jay-Z
I couldn’t create a liftin list without putting both Jay-z and Cam’ron on it. I’ve been a fan of Hova since he dropped Reasonable doubt in 96. The moment he teamed up with Cam I knew it was gonna be a hot song.
The beat and the ferocity of the emcees on this track should have you breakin PR’s when you listen to this track
