Big Man Strong Rules To The Game #2: Nutrition
Hey man, what’s goin on?
Yesterday I sent you a VERY important link
If you clicked through you would have found a manifesto of sorts. Within that manifesto there was a rallying cry for guys like us to eliminate a lot of the dumb-shit that’s started to pop-up within the community we hold so dear.
On that same page I also revealed something called “the Big Man Strong Rules to the game”. Those rules highlighted 3 of the most important things you can do right away to get instant results in the gym.
… though what I sent you yesteday was very powerful – I now realize it wasn’t complete.
As someone who has dedicated a great deal of time getting STRONGER, you already know how big a role your diet plays in cultivating your physical strength.
Unfortunately like everything else health related – nutrition has also become too complicated for anyone to follow
After years of attempting to keep-up with the myriad of nutritional information out there – I’ve finally had it, this is why I have created my own easy to follow set of nutritional rules. I believe these rules are soo simple that anyone can take them, plug them into their schedule and see a dramatic increase in energy, strength, muscle development and fat loss.
With that said… I present to you the Big Man Strong, rules of the game – nutritional edition
Rules Of The Game #1: FUCK DIETS
Read that one again and really let that bad-boy sink in.
As someone who has spent years of his life chasing the magic dietary plan, only to fail over and over again… I can now saw with absolute certainty that 99% of diets are bullshit and well… FUCK EM.
Any nutritionist worth his salt will tell you that the human body is a complex piece of machinery and what works for one person may not work for another.
This is the reason so many people fail when it comes to dieting to lose weight.
If you really want to get a handle on what works for you, start paying attenion to how certain foods make you feel after you eat them. This is one of the surest ways to know how well your body responds to particular foods.
If a food makes you bloated, gassy or lethargic chances are it doesnt’t agree with your unique body chemistry and should be eliminated.
When you start doing this you will notice a rapid rise in physical energy, strength and fat loss.
The beauty of this approach to nutrition is there are no stringent guidelines, you are completely in control of how your body responds and with time become so in-tune that it turns into a no-brainer.
Rule #2: Go FUCKIN CRAZY Everyonce In Awhile
Moderation is great, it’s key to leading a balanced life but it’s also fuckin boring. Everyonce in awhile you’ve gotta through caution to the wind and go crazy.
Screaming Y.O.L.O and eating your face off serves two very important purposes:
1: It provides a much needed psychological break from the rigors of everyday life.
2: It can cause a surge in fat loss hormonal output if you’ve been following a carb restricted diet
The key to making the Y.O.L.O mantra work when it comes to eating is to make sure you don’t go too Y.O.L.O.
Eat like you just don’t give a fuck once every few weeks then come back to your senses and eat in accordance with the optimal nutritional patterns you’ve been practicing prior to your big feast.
Rule #3: Supplement wisely
I know this one is necessarily about food per say but I’ve found that so many lifters rely far too heavily on powders, shakes and bars that something needed to be said.
Now I’m not gonna pretend like I’ve never drank a frothy whey shake or eaten a sugar laden protein bar but those are usually my last resort when I’m shit outta luck and lookin for halfway decent nutrition.
Remember shakes and bars still fall into the category of supplements. “Supplements” as the name suggests aren’t meant to be your primary source of nutrition… they are meant to act as an add-on.
If you are one of these dudes who relies heavily on these foods and can’t seem to gain muscle and or lose weight it may be because of these foods.
A lot of the powders found on grocery store isles are highly allergenic and may hinder your muscle-building progress.
A better solution would be to eat as many solid meals containing proteins and vegetables and sparingly use a supplement when the situation is dire and or calls for it.
Remember.. Men all over the world have been getting big, strong and muscular way before supplements became common place
As I mentioned earlier, your nutrition doesn’t have to be complicated for you to garner results. The most effective approache to eating for physique transformation is whichever approach you can follow. If you want to take all of the guess work out of your diet while gaining more muscle, increaing energy and becoming leaner- follow the three rules I have laid out for you above.
Till next time…
Go Big or Go Home
